How to Add Time-Stamped and Annotated Comments on Jumpshare Videos

Jumpshare allows you to share contextual, precise feedback on video recordings and screen captures. By using time-stamped text comments or drawing annotations directly on the video screen, you can collaborate seamlessly with clients and team members without messy back-and-forth emails.

This feature is available on Jumpshare Plus and Business plan.

Add a Time-Stamped Comment

  1. Upload your video to Jumpshare and open it in the video viewer.
  2. Play the video or scrub through the timeline to find the exact frame you want to address.
  3. Click inside the Add a comment... box at the bottom of the right sidebar.
  4. Notice that Jumpshare automatically captures your exact timestamp (e.g., 01:24 ).
  5. Type your feedback and press Enter (or click Post).

Tip: Clicking on any posted time-stamp in the comment history will instantly jump the video playback to that exact second.

Use Screen Annotations (Drawing on Video)

When you need to visually point out a bug, design flaw, or specific element in a screen capture:

  1. Pause the video on the exact frame you want to mark up.
  2. Click the Annotation Tool (the marker/pen icon) located   inside the comment box.
  3. Choose your annotation style from the floating toolbar (e.g., Arrow or Freehand Brush).
  4. Draw or type directly on top of the video screen to highlight the area.
  5. Add your descriptive comment in the sidebar to accompany your drawing, then click Post. Use the @ symbol to mention people by name or email if needed.

Your annotation will be saved as a time-stamped marker. When viewers click your comment, the drawing overlay will appear on the video player exactly where you placed it.
