Email White Labelling
Email white labelling allows you to share files or folders using your own email address. This personalizes your sharing experience, and recipients are more likely to trust and value emails that come from your personal or company domain.
Custom branding is available for Jumpshare Business. Here's how to set it up.
How to set up your email white labelling?
To set up custom email branding, start by ensuring you have a domain that you'll use for sending emails. If you don't have one yet, you can purchase a domain from any domain registrar.
📌 You'll need access to your domain registrar account to add DNS records.
Next, log into your Jumpshare account. From the left sidebar, go to Settings, then select Workspace. Switch to the Customize tab, and scroll down to the Custom Email section.
Here, enter the Name and Email that you want to use for email white labeling. This will set up your custom email address for sending branded emails. Setup your email logo and the color scheme of your email.
When you click the Update button, and both values are correct and valid, a section with DNS records will appear. You'll need to add these records to your domain's DNS settings.
DNS setup details and records
To ensure your domain is properly authenticated for sending emails, you'll need to add a few DNS records. This process verifies that you own the domain and helps enhance the security and deliverability of your emails.
- SPF Record (Sender Policy Framework): The SPF record helps prevent email spoofing, which is when someone forges your email domain to send spam or malicious emails. By setting up an SPF record, you're essentially specifying which mail servers are authorized to send emails on behalf of your domain.
- DKIM Record (DomainKeys Identified Mail): This record is essential for a domain that you plan to use as a sending domain (From), you should add a TXT record with the provided DKIM information. This will make this domain ready for sending and DKIM-signing, verifying ownership and at the same time resulting in better DKIM alignment.
- CNAME Record (Optional): Adding a CNAME record in your DNS settings is optional, but it sets up your domain for managing bounced emails, a recommended best practice for email deliverability.
By following these steps, you'll have a secure and authenticated setup for sending emails from your domain.
Once you've successfully added these DNS records to your DNS setup, wait for the verification process to complete.
📌 DNS changes can take up to 24 hours to propagate, but they’re usually completed within a few minutes to an hour.
At the bottom of these settings, you’ll see a Refresh
button. Click it to check if your settings have been updated and verified.
To confirm that your settings have propagated and are correctly applied, check the status next to your DNS records. When the status updates to VALID
, this indicates that your DNS settings have been successfully applied.
Removing email white labelling
To remove custom email branding, click the Remove
button at the bottom of the DNS record section. This will disable email white labelling for your account.
