How to grant Google Chrome screen recording permission on Mac

On Mac, you must grant Google Chrome screen recording permissions before the Jumpshare Chrome extension can capture your screen. This can be done in a few simple steps using macOS System Preferences.

How to allow Chrome to record your screen on macOS

  1. Start a screen recording with Jumpshare for Chrome and you should see a dialogue box pointing you toward the relevant settings. Click Open System Preferences. If you accidentally hit Deny, you may open the System Preferences app and navigate to Security & Privacy > Screen Recording.
  2. Click the lock icon in the bottom-left corner of the preferences window to make changes to your Mac's Screen Recording preferences.
  3. Click the checkbox next to Google Chrome to grant it screen recording permission.
  4. Your Mac will now ask you if you want to want to restart Chrome right away or later. Note that you will eventually have to restart Chrome for the changes to come into effect.
