How the Jumpshare Inbox works

Find out how your clients, team members, and external creators can send you screen recordings, videos, and project assets without needing a Jumpshare account.

The Jumpshare Inbox feature is designed for seamless external collaboration. It provides a quick, secure way for clients, contractors, or customers to upload large video files, creative assets, and screen captures directly into your workspace. No sign-up required!

πŸ“Œ Jumpshare Inbox is available to Jumpshare Plus and  Business users.

Create an Inbox

  1. Open the Jumpshare web app.
  2. Go to Inbox in the sidebar on the left.
  3. Click on the blue Create new inbox button.
  4. When the New Inbox pop-up appears, type in the name of your Inbox.You can name the inbox folder with the name of the client or project that you want to receive videos from.
  5. Then choose which folder in your Team library or Personal library you want the videos and images sent through the inbox to appear or you can just simply create it on your library.
  6. Press Create.

πŸ“Œ Jumpshare Business and Enterprise users can create as many inboxes as you want for better organization of the assets you receive. However, Plus users can create only one inbox.

Share an Inbox

Share your inbox with people so that they can send you videos and images.

  1. Head to Inbox on the Jumpshare web app.
  2. Search for the inbox you want to share and click on the Share button next to it.
  3. The Share Inbox pop-up will appear. You can share your inbox in three ways:
    • Via Link: Copy the link to the Inbox and paste it to share it with the people you want to receive videos from. Press the Copy Link button in this section to copy it to your clipboard, and return to Jumpshare Inbox.
    • Embed Inbox: You can copy the embed code and paste it on your website, so that visitors may send you videos. Press the Copy Code button to copy it to your clipboard and return to Jumpshare Inbox.
    • Via Email: You can share the link to your inbox via email address, along with a personalized note. Add in the email address in the first line, and type your message in the box under. Hit Send.

How to view videos Received via Inbox

  1. Navigate to the "Inbox" section.
  2. Click on the name of the inbox from which you received the videos.
  3. You will be redirected to the dedicated folder for that inbox where you can view all the received videos.
  4. You will also receive a notification on your Activity page, as well as an email, to inform you that the file has been shared with you.

Close/Open an Inbox

Closing your inbox stops people from sending you video in that particular inbox.

  1. Go to Inbox on the Jumpshare web app.
  2. Find the inbox you want to close from the list and click on the button with the three dots next to it.
  3. Choose Close from the options.
  4. The inbox will be closed, and people will not be allowed to send you video through it.

πŸ“Œ You can find your Closed Inboxes tab on top of the Jumpshare Inbox window. Click on the tab and find the Inbox you want to re-open. Click on the Open button next to it, and people will be able to send you videos through it again. It will appear in the Open Inboxes tab.

Delete an Inbox

  1. Head to Inbox on the Jumpshare web app.
  2. If the Inbox is open, search through the Open Inboxes list for it.
  3. Click the button with the three dots next to it, and select Delete.
  4. If your Inbox is closed, head to the Closed Inboxes tab.
  5. Find the inbox, and click on the Delete button on the right.
  6. When the pop-up appears, select Delete to confirm or Cancel to go back.

πŸ“Œ A deleted inbox can never be restored.
