Jumpshare Version History & Video Updates
Available for Jumpshare Plus, Business and Enterprise subscription
Made a mistake? Don't panic. Jumpshare automatically saves your video history so you can track changes, fix blunders, or completely rewrite the past.
How to Access Version History
You can view your video history from two places:
- From the Library: Hover over your video thumbnail and click the cogwheel icon. Select Version History.
- From the Media Viewer: Open your video link, click the three-dots icon on the sidebar, and select Version History.
This opens your history panel in descending chronological order. You can preview any past version, with your original creation safely tucked away and labeled as V1.

How to Restore an Older Version
If an older edit actually looks better, you can bring it back instantly:
- Open Version History using the steps above.
- Hover over the preferred version and click the cogwheel icon.
- Select Restore. Jumpshare instantly makes this version live in your library without breaking your shared link.
📌 Once you've restored your file, your comments for that particular file version also get restored - which is pretty neat, if we say so ourselves.

How to Upload a New Version Manually
Have an entirely new edit or an updated asset to share? You can swap the video behind your existing link without sending a new URL to your audience:
- Open the file's Version History panel.
- Click Upload New Version at the top of the panel.
- Select your new video file.
Jumpshare replaces the old video with the new one. Your original link stays exactly the same, keeping your shared embeds and threads fully updated!
